| The 2009 Display went live
on Saturday following Thanksgiving. The
theme for this year is "Candy Cane Land". We added 2 more
Light-O-Rama controllers this year. This makes a total of 96 channels. In
addition to the sequenced channels, the static elements are controlled by
5 separate 15 amp timers. The number of lights is now at 43,400.
The Mega Tree is built on a new base from Christmas Light Show. It contains 22,700 lights. The tree can transition between white, red and green. It also includes a 6 foot cross, a nativity and a 3 dimensional star topper. Strobes are back and a Peppermint fence defines the space. Gumdrops, miditrees (taller than minitrees) and light poles outline the yard. The newest feature this year is the animated North Pole.
